Featured Project: Pond Installation

This recent pond installation features raised timber sleeper planters, designed to add structure and style to the space. A complete planting scheme has been incorporated, enhancing the overall appearance of the area. To ensure low maintenance, the garden has been backfilled with 40mm plum slate, offering a tidy and practical solution that helps retain moisture, prevent weed growth, and provide an attractive, long-lasting finish. This setup creates a serene, low-care outdoor environment that is both visually appealing and easy to maintain.

Jamie and his team have transformed our rather large garden (half an acre) taking on lots of jobs for us over the past six or so months. It's looking amazing. There were a lot of maintenance jobs that needed catching up on, a few neglected corners that needed fixing and a good number of areas we wanted developed.

Jamie has done the lot: fence and handrail repairs; removing an old rotten pergola; putting up new fencing; fixing gates; filling gaps in hedges; sorting out and removing old tree stumps; digging out, clearing and leveling overgrown ground; moving stones and old brickwork; sorting gravel paths; rediscovering old stone steps; cutting back the overgrown verge on the roadside; trimming lawn edges; building, creating and planting a whole new flower bed with perennials and bulbs (gave great advice, suggestions and ideas too); cutting back old hedge plants on the verge of becoming trees; weeding and planting; digging out an ancient buddleia; strimming back an overgrown grass lane; power washing the patio as well as a a mossy concrete path that hadn't been properly cleaned or swept for decades.

All the work undertaken by him and his team was finished to a very high standard. The garden has always been left neat and tidy after each and every job.

Jamie has always been very approachable, friendly, with excellent communication throughout and kept us up to date throughout. We can't fault him on a single thing.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My 90 year old mother is absolutely delighted that her garden is now looking so good - it was very overgrown and had been neglected for at least two years. Jamie and his crew have worked SO HARD to bring it back to life. They work to a very high professional standard and I would strongly recommend them. Thank you.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I thoroughly recommend JY Gardening Services, who were fantastic. They removed artificial grass and replaced this with turf in the back garden of my property; the space is quite small and only accessible through the kitchen, but they were really clean and tidy, completing the job on time and to an exceptionally high standard. They gave really clear instructions for aftercare and despite the hot and dry weather in the past couple of months, the grass has taken really well and transformed my garden. I'm so pleased with the results and will definitely be looking to use their services again in the future for any further gardening jobs I have. Thank you so much!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I wish there was a 10 star rating! I could not recommend JY gardening services any higher, the experience working with this company from initial contact (recommended to me by my mother-in-law, always a good sign) to the consultation phase and then getting booked in was professional, friendly and incredibly accommodating, I was mortified by the state of our garden, and Jamie put me at ease straight away.
On the day we were booked, Jamie clarified before they started what we had agreed and then got to work, no mess, no hassle and the outcome was amazing, much better than I’d hoped for. What stood JY gardening services out for me was the little extras that we hadn’t agreed, things they did because they are passionate about their work and want the finished product to be perfect, for example tidying up my front path and removing the weeds from a couple of pots (I had brought and meant to do last summer)
Honestly if you are looking for a high quality, experienced, trustworthy company, this is the one for you, I’ve included pictures of before and after (please don’t judge!)
